1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Halal Deals website (halal-deals.co.uk) and all related services (the "Platform"). By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Halal Deals is operated from the United Kingdom. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Our Services

Halal Deals provides:

• Business Directory: A searchable directory of halal-friendly businesses, including restaurants, hotels, spas, and other services.
• Deals & Vouchers: Exclusive deals and digital vouchers from partner businesses that can be purchased and redeemed.
• Reviews & Ratings: A review system allowing registered users to share their experiences.

We act as an intermediary platform connecting consumers with businesses. We do not own, operate, or control any listed business. We make reasonable efforts to verify business information but cannot guarantee its accuracy at all times.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Keep your account information and password secure and confidential.
• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

3.3 Directory Access & Marketing Consent

By opting into the Directory, you accept that you will receive regular (weekly) emails from us promoting our partners based on the local area(s) you have shown interest in. Some promotional partners may also send targeted emails via our platform. We will never share your email details directly with our partners.

4. Business Listings

4.1 For Listed Businesses

• Businesses are responsible for the accuracy of their listing information, including halal certification status, services offered, and pricing.
• Misrepresenting halal status or certification is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal.
• Businesses must hold all necessary licences and permits required by law.
• Halal Deals reserves the right to remove or modify any listing at its discretion.

4.2 Halal Information Disclaimer

While we make reasonable efforts to verify the halal status information provided by businesses, we rely on the information supplied by the businesses themselves and, where applicable, their certification bodies. Halal Deals does not independently inspect or certify businesses. Users should make their own enquiries where necessary.

4.3 Community-Submitted Listings

The Business Directory includes listings that have been submitted by community members and users of the Platform. These community-submitted listings are clearly marked as "Not Yet Verified" until they have been reviewed by our verification team.

Halal Deals is a community and user-generated information platform. While we endeavour to verify the accuracy of listings through our verification process, we cannot guarantee that all information provided by community members or businesses is accurate, complete, or up to date. Halal Deals cannot be held accountable for any incorrect, misleading, or outdated information displayed on the Platform.

Users are strongly encouraged to verify details - including halal certification status, opening hours, menus, and services - directly with businesses before visiting or making purchasing decisions. If you believe any listing contains inaccurate information, please report it to us via our Contact Us page.

5. Deals & Vouchers

5.1 Purchasing

• All prices are displayed in the currency stated and include VAT where applicable.
• Once purchased, vouchers will be delivered digitally to your account and registered email address.
• Vouchers are subject to the specific terms and conditions stated on each deal, including expiry dates and redemption rules.

5.2 Refunds

• Unredeemed vouchers may be refunded within 14 days of purchase, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
• Partially or fully redeemed vouchers are non-refundable.
• If a business is unable to honour a voucher (e.g., due to closure), we will issue a full refund or credit.

5.3 Business Responsibility & Deal Liability

Halal Deals acts as the platform providing the deal, but the respective business is the sole provider of the goods or services. Any issues relating to goods or services received must be addressed initially with the business involved. Halal Deals should only be involved for quality assurance if your concerns were not dealt with sufficiently.

6. User Conduct

When using the Platform, you agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or offensive content.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform without our consent.
• Post reviews for businesses you have not genuinely visited or used.
• Engage in any activity that could harm the reputation of Halal Deals or its users.

7. Reviews & User Content

• By posting a review, you grant Halal Deals a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content on our Platform.
• Reviews must be honest, fair, and based on genuine experience.
• We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms or our community guidelines.
• You retain ownership of your content and can request deletion at any time.
• Photo & Brand Usage: By listing on Halal Deals, businesses grant us permission to use their uploaded photos and branding materials for the purpose of marketing Halal Deals and promoting their specific offers across our website, emails, and social media channels.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform - including text, graphics, logos, the Halal Deals brand, and software - is owned by or licensed to Halal Deals and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Halal Deals provides the Platform "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Third-Party Links

Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. Your use of such sites is at your own risk.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Any purchased vouchers that are still valid will remain redeemable.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. For EU/UK consumers, this does not affect your statutory rights under consumer protection laws.
